Our Story
In 2021, Nicolas Scheuer opened NS Dance Academy with the belief that dance is not only about creating great dancers, but about using dance to help shape great kids. From the very beginning, Mr. Nicolas saw firsthand the positive impact dance could have on his students—building discipline, confidence, and joy.
Drawing from his own childhood experiences, he also understood the financial barriers that often keep young dancers from pursuing their passion. Determined to make dance accessible to all children in the community, he began personally subsidizing tuition for families in need. To date, he has awarded more than $20,000 in dance scholarships.
To expand this mission and ensure even greater opportunities for local children, Mr. Nicolas established the NSDA Foundation LLC, a nonprofit organization.
Today, the NSDA Foundation provides financial assistance for dance training through a range of memorial and opportunity-based scholarships. These scholarships support children ages 3 to 19 who show leadership, dedication, academic commitment, and community involvement, as well as the potential to grow through the art of dance.
How to Donate
By giving more children a chance to dance, we all benefit. Whether giving individual scholarships, bringing dance classes to members of area Boys & Girls Clubs or providing classes to our academy students. NSDA Foundation LLC is bringing the therapeutic and healing power of dance to children throughout the region.

Your gift can change the life of a child:
- $35 provides tuition for one young-child day camp.
- $75 can give a child a costume to participate in a recital.
- $80 provides tuition for one dancer for one class for a full month.
- $100 allows a child to attend an entire series of dance day camps.
- $175 allows a child to attend an entire week summer dance classes.
- $300 provides an opportunity for a child to participate on a full dance production ( The Nutcracker or Alice in Wonderland).
- $330 provides Unlimited class tuition to a young child for a full month.
- $760 provides Unlimited one class tuition to a young child for a full year.
